The Supreme Court held that the conveyance of the suit land by the original plaintiff dated 02.11.1971 in favour of defendant no.1 was void under Sections 47(3) and 48(e) of the Maharashtra Co-operative Societies Act, 1960, as it was done without the prior sanction of the co-operative society in whose favour a charge was created on the land.
