Under Section 12(c) of HAMA, an adopted child cannot divest any person of any estate that vested before the adoption. The Doctrine of Relation Back applies - adoption by widow relates back to date of death of adoptive father, creating immediate coparcenary interest. Lawful alienations made by widow before adoption are binding on adopted child. Gift deed lacking delivery and acceptance prerequisites is null and void.
