Consumer forums, in exercise of their powers under the Consumer Protection Act, are not authorised to issue arrest warrants while imposing penalties under Sections 71 or 72 of the Act. The decree holder may take recourse to Section 71 or 72 for execution of the order, but the law does not authorize the Forum to issue warrants of arrest.
