Mohini Jain v State of Karnataka
Supreme Court of IndiaAIR 1992 SC 1858Bench: Kuldip Singh J, R.M. Sahai J
The right to education at all levels flows from Article 21 — the right to life includes the right to live with human dignity, which cannot be fulfilled without education. Capitation fees create an invidious distinction based on wealth and are violative of Articles 14 and 21. Citizens have a fundamental right to education.
